Vintage reading could be the perfect gift

What do you give someone who seems to have everything? Nostalgia might just be the answer.

1933 National Geographic

National Geographic, June 1933, with articles on Germany and China

For example, consider a National Geographic Magazine from your loved one’s birth month or from the month of a special anniversary.  The articles are well researched and written, the illustrations are plentiful, there are lots of vintage advertisements included, and some issues even have a detailed map folded into the magazine.  Our collection from the 1940s and 1950s is especially strong, perfect for Baby Boomers.

Our search engine allows for searching by key words, so if you know an author’s name or the title of an article – or even the topic of an article – you may be able to find exactly what you’re trying to locate.

National Geographic and other vintage magazines are also fantastic gifts for the history buffs on your list.  We’ve just finished cataloging many issues that take the reader through Germany, Austria, Poland, Japan, China, and elsewhere in the 1930s. They offer a fascinating look at the world before it exploded in World War II.

See our large collection of National Geographics to find a gift that’s just right for someone.  (You, perhaps?)
